Cutting expenses is the fastest way to free up some money. However, determining what to cut can sometimes be difficult.

I knew that I wanted to cut expenses but I wasn't sure how. Fortunately for me, 2020 had some surprises, I now make my own coffee and I do my own mani and pedi. This allows me to free up some extra money to help reach Kitrick and my goals.
Cutting expenses sounds hard but if you prioritize it into your future plans then it can be accomplished. Cutting expenses frees up money so that you are better able to accomplish your future plan such as saving money. In this world, everyone should be trying to save money. Why? Because if you fail to save then you fail to prepare.

How do you get started? Well, it is two-fold. First, you need to create a list of future savings goals like house fund or car fund or baby fun. Not sure where to start? Check out this blog post - Tips to Starting a Sinking Fund.

Make sure to set reasonable goals.

Second, you need to list out all your expenses so that you can assess where you may be overspending and if you can cut back. One example of this would be if you spend $600 on groceries every month but you are a single woman/man then you are probably spending way too much.

Extra money doesn't just let you save money to meet your goals but it also allows you to have extra money to pay towards your debts. Paying off debt is the goal for most people.

Personally, I hate the feeling of owing anyone money.

Because it literally feels like I am throwing all my money away. Paying back the exact amount you owe isn't enough because of interest. Check out my blog post - What is interest?

Lastly, cutting expenses allows you to be creative. Forcing yourself to cut back on groceries makes you focus on the items that you currently have in the kitchen. Instead of buying new clothes, you revamp your current ones.

Cutting expenses can be hard but if you start with a list of your current expenses allows you to save money, pay off debt, and be creative.

Let me know what you've cut back on??.
