Getting your journey started can seem like an impossible task. Guess what? The journey is only hard because you are trying to start it alone. Often times people come to me because they are struggling with these questions:

✔️ You’re struggling to break the check to check cycle.
✔️ You have no idea where you're spending your money.
✔️You’re unable to handle a medical emergency or any emergency.

You're struggling to break the check to check cycle.

You can't afford to make a purchase because you don't have enough money in the bank. You are literally counting down the hours until your next pay day.

You are not alone a lot of people struggle to get their expenses under control. Budgeting is the answer. You need to be able to identify your income - expenses. This number should never be in the negative. If it is, then you have signed up for more than you can afford to pay off on a monthly basis.

You will never catch up if you find yourself in this downward spiral. I've been able to help my clients identify when this is happening and then address the true issue. Don't forget to ensure that you aren't making these 7 Mistakes Made When Budgeting.

You have no idea where you're spending your money.

If I asked you "what are your monthly bills?". Could you list them out for me? Or would you give me the ughhhh look?

If you can't list out your monthly bills either two things are happening:
  • You don't know what you spend your money on
  • You are paying for way to much on a monthly basis

Both are a problem.

You need to be able to account for every dollar that you spend on a monthly basis. Yes creating a monthly budget helps but you have to go a step further than that. You have to do an analysis on what you actually spent each month.

While you are trying to figure out where your money is going read this blog post to help you better identify Common Overspending Categories.

You're unable to handle a medical emergency or any emergency.

According to ABCNews, 40% of Americans cannot afford a $400 emergency.

That means that 40% of Americans couldn't not afford:
  • An emergency room visit
  • To replace all 4 tires on their car
  • Make a home repair of the AC unit or replace a washer and drier

How do we combat the lack of unpreparedness? By getting prepared! If you don't have an emergency fund, then start one. Have one? Grow it tell its 3 months then 6 months of expenses. Not sure where to start? Join the Free Emergency Fund Email Challenge.

These are just a few ways that I help my clients on their journey to financial freedom. Schedule a free Financial Fitness Call today.
