2020 flew by! I feel like I blinked and the year which threw every single thing at me was over. ⁠

2020 was tough but it brought so many great things:⁠

✅ Marrying my best friend @hokagekb⁠
✅ Buying a house⁠
✅ Growing and stabilizing my business ⁠
✅ Finishing graduate school (for now anyway...maybe Dr. Bell one day)⁠

I didn't realize at the time that I was literally setting myself up for my comeback. I had reached the point where I was tired of making poor decisions. I was ready to go from carrying a credit card balance every month to knowing that I was financially secure every month. ⁠

If an emergency happened, then I wanted to be prepared. ⁠

​​Cutting expenses is the fastest way to free up some money. However, determining what to cut can sometimes be difficult. ⁠

I knew that I wanted to cut expenses but I wasn't sure how. Fortunately for me, 2020 had some surprises, I now make my own coffee and I do my own mani and pedi. This allows me to free up some extra money to help reach Kitrick and my goals. ⁠

I paid for this trip to Cancun, Mexico without going into debt. I used my credit card to earn points to travel in the future and then I paid off the card before the bill was due. ⁠
Two years ago, I would've swiped and told myself "I'll pay it off before the end of the month", knowing I wasn't!
