5 Traveling Tips

Traveling is fun! I mean who would enjoy escaping away to some destination for a few days, you can always count me in!

Have you ever found yourself struggling when it comes to actually taking the trip? Didn't pack the right stuff or over packed or booked way to many activities?  Well I created 5 tips just for you.

1. Plan out your outfits

This will aid you in packing. Personally, I like to use apps that let me visually plan (Unfortunately, Polyvore is no more so I am on the hunt for a replacement. Any ideas?). This time I created a list via the Note app on my IPhone; feel free to look below for inspiration or ideas. Before you get caught up in Tip 1 be sure to handle Tip 3 before you do any heavy packing.

While I am sure you hate packing, I mean who loves it! Packing the things you need and will use is vital to having lighter luggage and avoid missing items because you waited until an hour before you needed to be at the airport to throw everything in your luggage.

2. Plan out your budget. (Don't forget Gratuity!)

I know, I know you just paid XYZ for this trip and you don't wonna pay anything more. Well I got NEWS for you darling it doesn't matter if you are going to an all inclusive resort, a weekend trip out of state, a staycation, a cruise, or a self planned trip out of the country. You will need a budget for when you leave the resort, eat meals during your weekend trip , or when you port during your cruise. I'm not saying your budget should be anything ridiculous like $500 bucks for a 3 day trip but you should definitely plan.

For instance, lets say that you plan on taking a trip to Cancun, Mexico (which I just took) and you booked an all inclusive resort. You may be asking yourself, "How much should I budget?"

3. Know the weather conditions

There is nothing worse than packing shorts for a place that is freezing or packing pants for a place that is 100 degrees. Checking the weather a week and then a few days before your trip as this will help you in Tip 1 (Plan out your outfits).

4. Do something fun

Even if you are going to an all inclusive resort or a staycation you should plan a fun activity for at least one day depending on the duration of your vacation. If you are taking a 3 day trip I would recommend having an activity or excursion planned for one day. If your trip is 7 days, then I would recommend having 3 to 4 activities to do during your vacation. In my opinion, a good vacation is a mix between relaxation and fun. So while you are focused on zip lining or jet skiing don't forget to grab a book and read by the beach.

5. Time management

Yes, I am one of those people who plan out their vacations by using a thing called time management. Having fun and relaxing are important ( like number 1 and 2 of any vacation) but if you fail to manage your time you will miss out! Plan accordingly so that you won't miss out on a thing during your vacation whether it is 2 days or 10 days because trust me when I say a 10 day vacation can fly by you!!

Where will your next adventure take you?

I hope that you all enjoyed and that you remember to live your life the best way that you can and not for others.
