I'm Engaged. Now What?

Getting engaged to my best friend is by far one of the top 5 moments of my life.

The joy that I experienced was immediate! Like...I am getting married and you cannot tell me anything (well someone could have told me the work I was getting myself into lol). Getting engaged is an amazing feeling and then reality hits...I have to 

1. Pick a date
2. Pick out Save The Dates, Bridal Shower Invites, and Wedding Invitations 
3. Create a Wedding Website

Thankfully, I found out that all of my ideas could be made possible through a little googling. A company named Basic Invite who specializes in stationery took 2 things off my list immediately!

Picking a Date

Picking a date was actually pretty easy! Originally, I thought I would get married in December 2020 but after getting engaged March 13, 2019 I knew I could not wait that long! Our anniversary is on June 8, so we picked June 6, 2020 since it was the weekend right before and I'm trying to make it easy for him lol. 

Save the Dates, Bridal Shower, and Wedding Invitations

Little ole me thought I needed to immediately send out a save the date but in reality you only need to send out a Save the Date earlier than 6 months if you plan on having a destination wedding. I came across Basic Invite who specializes in stationery and as you can see the quality is gorgeous. Save the Dates, Wedding Invites, Bridal Shower Invites you name it they have it. However, they don't stop there girl! They let you customize a Save the Date, Bridal Invite, or Wedding Invitation and send it to you within 7 to 11 days. Are you not someone who is focused on attention to detail? Well Honey, they offer access to their specialist who will proof anything you create for $20. Thanks to the people at Basic Invite, I was able to play around with a few designs for our Save the Dates and Wedding invites. Look at the vibrancy! The colors just pop right off the paper.

We picked Champagne and Hunter Green for our wedding and as you can see Basic Invite did not disappoint. The website allows you to choose from over 180 different color options. I was able to pick the flowers and customize each flower to be the color that I wanted! After some debate, Kitrick and I have agreed that the design below which we both love is the winner and the one we love! Adding a picture of ourselves on the back was just the final touch that we needed to make it 100% perfect for us.

Wedding Websites

​Kitrick and I decided to be modern and have RSVPs stored on a website. Basic Invite offers free wedding websites with RSVP functionality. They offer hundreds of designs and you can still customize your color theme. I will be sure to let you all know what design we come up with in the next few months!
