I've been there y'all. Literally looking at my bank account like...⁠
⁠
❓ What did I get myself into?⁠
❓ How am I gone get myself out of this?⁠

I didn't realize at the time that I was literally setting myself up for my comeback. I had reached the point where I was tired of making poor decisions. I was ready to go from carrying a credit card balance every month to knowing that I was financially secure every month. ⁠

If an emergency happened, then I wanted to be prepared. ⁠
⁠

Getting your journey started can seem like an impossible task. Guess what? The journey is only hard because you are trying to start it alone. Often times people come to me because they are struggling with these questions:

✔️ You’re struggling to break the check to check cycle.
✔️ You have no idea where you're spending your money.
✔️You’re unable to handle a medical emergency or any emergency.

​My experience as a Black woman in corporate America has been the best learning experience! These experiences have put me against adversity and put me around so many intelligent people. ⁠

Never did I think I would be changing jobs in the middle of a pandemic. But there was far stronger powers than my little self at work. 

There are tons of great Black women who provide information in Instagram and Linkedin about interviewing and job hunting. I would definitely check out one of these awesome women to gain more information.

​I'm not perfect and that is ok!

I've made money mistakes but I've also met some of my money goals.⁠Throughout my ever going journey to getting out of debt. I have made a few mistakes...walked into a few walls but now I've developed a system that works for me. We are human and it is important to remember and celebrate the small victories while we journey to accomplish the big ones.⁠ Celebrate your accomplishment!

​Like I promise I will carry the mantel with the upmost respect! Just let me claim the title. Like 2019 is only seven months in but I feel like I have done a years’ worth of work. This year in January I decided to start a second Master’s program (yes, I am crazy). The time commitments were strenuous and put a huge damper on my mood. If I wasn’t at work, then I was studying. If I wasn’t studying, then I was wishing I was sleep. If I wasn’t actually sleeping, then I was probably meeting with a client. Do you get where I’m going here? I thought I would bombard y’all with post and videos, but little did I know I wasn’t Superwoman. If there was a such thing a superhero, I know for a fact they have a therapist!
